With Halloween around the corner, the CSU Pueblo campus and the city of Pueblo are full of “spooky” activities. Whether it’s families with small children looking to break the mold of the traditional trunk-or-treat, or individuals looking for a little extra Halloween fun, the community doesn’t run short of options.
Notably, the once-popular Fright at Hell’s Trail returns this year after a 5-year hiatus following the COVID-19 pandemic. Located in Avondale, Colorado — just outside of Pueblo city limits — they are ready to welcome those looking for a good spook. They are open Friday and Saturday nights in October, from 7 p.m. to midnight.
That’s not all the community has going on, though! Here is a breakdown of Halloween and harvest happenings on campus and around the city of Pueblo.

Visitors can hop on a hayride and wave to the scarecrows, treat themselves to some delicious treats, and make some fun fall memories with the family.
Musso Farms
The farm also offers horse-drawn buggy rides out to the pumpkin patch, or customers can try the “Big Pumpkinator Tractor.” Purchase of those rides includes a free pumpkin. This pumpkin patch is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 26.
