Bonfils Blood Center will be on the Colorado State University-Pueblo campus 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 28, in the Occhiato University Center.
“We haven’t been asked to supply blood to Haiti because their needs are covered by Cuba, the Dominican Republic and other areas, however if people still want to donate in honor of what’s happened to Haiti, the blood will be used within our communitybecause our community…the state of Colorado uses more than 3,000 units of blood per week,” said Jennifer Davis, buisiness development manager for Bonfils Blood Center.
Bonfils Blood Center conducts multiple blood drives at CSU-Pueblo. The next blood drive will be in April, Davis said.
Steve Titus, Associated Students Government president, said he encourages students to eat a good breakfast and drink plenty of water before donating blood.
