Two CSU-Pueblo students were arrested Wednesday evening in connection to the bomb threat made to the university recently.
The two students in custody are Simon Budisavljevic, a freshman majoring in pre-engineering, and Charles Evan Montoya, a freshman majoring in biology, according to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office.
Budisavljevic and Montoya have been suspended from the university and currently face one felony charge and one misdemeanor charge, according to the KKTV website.
In a statement from the Office of External Affairs, the students confessed they were the writers of the bomb threat that was discovered in the Student Center, at 10:32 a.m. Tuesday morning.
“The sheriff’s office will remain at increased staffing throughout the weekend, even though there is no longer a viable threat to campus,” according to a campus-wide e-mail.
The TODAY will update on this story as more information is released.
