Beginning Oct. 21st, 2012, the Denver Art Museum will be hosting an exclusive exhibition of the world’s most brilliant post-impressionist, Vincent van Gogh.
Van Gogh immortalized himself with such paintings as The Starry Night (1889), Café Terrace at Night (1888), and The Potato Eaters (1885). Although he only lived to the age of 37, his paintings will live on forever in history.
Van Gogh lived a troubled life of depression as a peasant middle class citizen. He turned to painting and drawing to release the dark but beautiful emotions that harbored inside him. This blatant use of expression is what makes his artworks singular and inspirational to the world.
This rare showing will only take place in the mile high city of Denver and nowhere else in America. The Becoming Van Gogh exhibit will showcase more than 70 of the artist’s original paintings and drawings. This once in a lifetime opportunity will end January 20th, 2013.
