Discover CSU-Pueblo Visit Day is for prospective students to see what they could expect should they decide to attend college here. Prospective students are encouraged on CSU-Pueblo’s website to bring parents or other family members to the event.

Students from 38 high schools around the state are expected to attend, as well as students from Arizona and New Mexico. About 230 students are expected to attend, said Tiffany Kingrey, the visitor center coordinator.
Participants will check in from 8:30-9 a.m. in the Occhiato University Center.

The potential students will then be able to go on a student-led tour of campus, meet faculty, and get information on admissions, financial aid, student life and majors offered at CSU-Pueblo.

Participants in the event will also have opportunities to learn about CSU-Pueblo’s President’s Leadership and Honors Programs as well as other campus organizations, Kingrey said.
Transfer students attending the event will also be offered transfer of credit, according to CSU-Pueblo’s website.

A student panel will answer any questions parents or students have about CSU-Pueblo, Kingrey said.
From 1-1:45 p.m., the prospective students will attend an information and club fair, according to an email sent by Kingrey. 29 clubs and organizations have signed up to be a part of the club and information fair. All of the academic departments will be represented during the academic information session, Kingrey said.
