At 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Colorado State University Pueblo authorities messaged students and faculty regarding a bomb threat on campus. The threat, later determined to be a hoax, was believed to be directed toward the Hassan School of Business, leading to the evacuation of the building. There were limited staff inside and no ongoing classes taking place, leading to an easy and safe evacuation, officials said.
The call announcing the threat was made to the Pueblo Police Department and was routed to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Department due to their work with the security of the campus. The caller had a male voice and provided the first name with no further information, a sheriff’s lieutenant said. The investigation is currently underway.
