Hundreds of students and community members enjoyed the annual PackFest on Sep. 28 at Colorado State University Pueblo.
PackFest is an annual music festival hosted by the Student Engagement and Leadership office (SEAL). It was held this year at the Hasan Outdoor Amphitheater.
This year’s PackFest featured numerous fun activities as well as food trucks, pop-up vendors, jumbo lawn games, giant inflatable rides/games, and more. Performances featured local Pueblo artists BULLHEAD*ED, DJ Panic, Southpaq, and Rick G, along with performances by REDVEIL, and lastly the main headliner, KYLE.
SOCO Student Media students, on behalf of the Media and Entertainment Department, took part in the event, and the Revolution “REV” 89.5 radio station broadcasted live throughout the night.
“This is my first time here at PackFest, and everything looks absolutely amazing,” sophomore student Phil Martinez said while attending the event.
The REV 89.5 students also got the chance to highlight some of the food trucks and the different booths in attendance.
One of those booths was the multi-cultural booth hosted by Mad Fresh Productions, and some of the food trucks included a Kung Fu Tea, a pulled pork sandwich truck and a Rio Grande Café, where students could get snow cones.
“I am super excited to be here, as I had been waiting for this day since it was announced in early September that KYLE, REDVEIL, and other artists were going to be performing at this year’s PackFest,” said CSU Pueblo alumni Michelle Wells, who returned to campus to enjoy the event.
“I want to give a special shout-out to our SEAL team and emcees throughout PackFest: Shay Wilson and Tate, as they have both done a fantastic job hyping up the crowd all throughout PackFest,” said senior Cidonia Ponce.
Overall, observers said that this year’s PackFest was a big success.
