The ThunderWolves Marching Band is holding auditions for the position of stadium announcer for the fall 2010 season at Colorado State University-Pueblo.
This voluntary position is open to qualified male and female students, said Alan Mills, director of bands and assistant professor of music at CSU-Pueblo. If accepted, the student would rehearse announcements in the morning or afternoon of all home football game days (based on kick-off time), and announce the band during all pre-game and half-time show appearances.
Pending the availability of funds, the band might perform at one to three state-wide high school marching band contests this fall.
Interested candidates must submit a statement of interest that outlines background or suitability for the position. Candidates must also submit a résumé in the event that it would reflect a background in speaking or a relevant vocal area.
The position will remain open until filled, Mills said, and selected finalists will be invited to audition at the Capps Capozzolo Academic Center for the Arts (Hoag Hall), Room 171.
Those interested can submit their statement and résumé to Mills at [email protected].
