Jalen Little is the assistant women’s basketball coach at Colorado State University Pueblo and has been with the team for 5 years. Prior to coming to CSU Pueblo, Little was with Chadron State as the assistant coach for its men’s basketball team for four seasons. He was instrumental to the team’s success with multiple All-RMAC team recognition honors, as well as landed 22 players to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
The ThunderWolves are 16-10 overall this season and have a conference record of 11-7. Contributing players to the team’s success include Alisha Little, Tomia Johnson, Landri Hudson and Genesis Sweetwine.
The team has upcoming conference games at home against Metro State University Denver tomorrow night and this Saturday, March 1 at 4 p.m. against Colorado School of Mines. Thursday’s game will be “fan appreciation night” where there will be food and drinks along with t-shirts given away sponsored by Student Engagement and Leadership (SEAL).
Saturday’s game will be “senior night” and they will be honoring the seven seniors graduating this May.
The seven seniors are Little, Hudson, Johnson, Tosjanae Bonds, Yara Gracia, Shamahra Henderson and Autumn Watts.
“We got a lot of shoes to fill. We have a ton of young girls coming in and we expect them to play a huge role,” said Little.
