On March 11, 2023, professional boxer Anthony Soto made his debut six-round fight at the Arapahoe County Fair in Aurora, CO. However, before he stepped into the ring, Soto wanted to give back to his community by visiting local schools and community centers to guide young people on physical fitness and self-esteem. As an alumnus of Pueblo Centennial High School, Soto was particularly excited to return to his former school and share his story of perseverance and dedication with the students.

Soto faced many challenges and obstacles as a professional athlete, including injuries and setbacks. But through hard work and determination, he never gave up on his dreams and became a successful boxer and role model. Soto believes his story could inspire young people to pursue their passions and goals with the same dedication and hard work he exhibited in his career.

During his visit to Centennial High School, Soto shared his personal journey and provided guidance on physical fitness and self-esteem. He understood the importance of instilling these values in young people and hoped to impact the students’ lives positively. Soto’s visit was a valuable opportunity for the students to learn from a professional athlete who has achieved great success through hard work and determination.

Soto’s visit also provided a unique opportunity for the school’s athletic program. He was available to conduct a boxing demonstration and training session for interested students, giving them a chance to learn from professional athletes and gain insight into the sport of boxing. This hands-on experience was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that the students would remember for years to come.

The visit from Anthony Soto was an excellent opportunity for the students, the school and the community. It showed that successful individuals could come from any background and that hard work and determination could lead to outstanding achievements. Soto’s visit was sure to have inspired students to pursue their passions and goals, whether related to sports or not.

One of the most significant aspects of Soto’s visit was the message of perseverance and dedication that he shared with the students.
