It is ski season in Colorado and Colorado State University-Pueblo and the Outdoor Pursuits Program will be sponsoring its first ski trip of the winter to Wolf Creek Ski Area on Nov. 14 and 15.
The trip will be an overnight stay. Students and participants will meet at the student recreational center. Gear will be loaded up at 2 p.m.
Wyatt Hosmer, a senior outdoor leadership major, said all participants are to sign in at the equipment room before leaving for the trip.
“The trip will start on Saturday. We don’t plan on skiing then, just hanging out,” Hosmer said. “All of the skiing will be done on Sunday, returning in the evening.”
The trip will cost students $55 with a membership to the student recreation rental co-op, a $25 program that includes all rental fees through the recreation center, and $65 for non-members. Round trip includes lodging, transportation and dinner on Sunday.
This offer is also available to faculty and the community. The trip will cost $75 for faculty and $85 for non-students and non-faculty.
The trip fee does not include a lift ticket, equipment rentals of skis, snowboards, or lunch on Sunday.
The Edge, a local ski shop located on Union Ave. in Pueblo, offers students $5 off rentals with a student ID.
Students can also receive a student discount on their lift ticket by showing their school ID at the ticket window of the ski resort, reducing the price of a ticket to $31.
Spots are limited so sign up quickly at the student recreation center.

The Outdoor Pursuits ski trips are such an incredible value! Transportation, lodging, assistance with all the neccessary gear. In one word “staggering”!
