The #3 Colorado State University Pueblo Thunderwolves put up nothing short of an offensive flurry against #6 Colorado School of Mines in the opening round of the RMAC tournament play. They led the majority of the game and fed off the Massari Arena crowd unlike any other, helping lead to an impressive 15-2 final record at home for the 2025-2026 season. In addition, this win against the Mines was their first postseason win since 2015.
The pack improved to 22-7 overall while increasing their win streak to 9 games, and will travel to face Colorado Mesa University in a semifinal matchup on Friday in Spearfish, South Dakota @ 5 pm. Regarding RMAC rankings, CSU Pueblo is one of the three RMAC teams ranked in the top 10 rankings in Dll basketball (CSU Pueblo #10, Colorado Mesa #8, and Black Hills State #6).
The 22 wins this season are already the team’s most since the 1997-98 season, with this further solidifying the odds that the Pack will return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 28 years.
