The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference has named CSU-Pueblo sophomore Ricardo Oaxaca as the RMAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week, the RMAC announced Wednesday.
Oaxaca posted a perfect 4-0 record in singles action and a 3-1 record in doubles action this last weekend. His only defeat came against RMAC opponent Western N.M., as they fell 2-8 in doubles play. Oaxaca flip-flopped with teammate Beau Fresquez, moving to the number two spot in singles and was successful. He currently has the longest singles winning streak in his college career (five), and was the only ThunderWolves player to earn a victory in their 1-8 loss to Western N.M.
Oaxaca’s award marks the second consecutive week that a ThunderWolves tennis player has received the RMAC Player of the Week honor. Beau Fresquez received the honor last week.
