Well folks, it’s nearly that time of year when the stimulating breeze of fire roasted green chilies invades the streets of downtown Pueblo.
The 18th anniversary of the “Loaf N’ Jug Chile & Frijoles Festival”, sponsored by the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce promises to bring more entertainment than last year.
Gathering people from across Colorado, along with people around the nation, will surely have Union Avenue and surrounding streets shut down to celebrate the harvesting of the Mira Sol Chile.
Attendees get to experience local music talent, arts of different variety, and the rich ambient culture this southern Colorado city has to offer. Local businesses also get the chance to promote their tasteful fusions of the west.
This anticipated commemoration of festivities will kick off its opening day on Friday, Sept. 21, lasting until Sunday, Sept 23. Entry will only cost $2 per person, kids 12 and under are free.
