The Pack put together another solid defensive effort, holding the Orediggers scoreless throughout the first half and much of the second half. Savannah Thompson (Jr., Upland, Calif.) returned from injury to record nine saves in the game.
Things looked to be going the Pack’s way when at 59:12 Maya Rugg (Jr, Eagar, Ariz.) received a long pass from Alyssa Romero (Jr., Las Vegas, Nev.) to set up her up in prime position in front of the net. Rugg would finish off the play by tucking the ball passed the goalkeeper to put the ThunderWolves up 1-0.
The Orediggers would respond with a flurry of shots late in the game, finding the equalizer at 82:35. Megan Woodworth would get a chip pass from Dani Hering into the box before finishing with a goal.
The Pack would have an opportunity to win it in ovetime with a driving shot from Tamra Nee (Jr., Honolulu, Hawaii), but the opportunity would be turned away by goalkeeper Jaylyn Yates.
The game-winner would be scored minutes later on a shot by Bree Archuleta. Archuleta received a pass inside the box and finished the play with a shot in the lower corner of the net.
