What has been your greatest success in writing? (Personal writing, collaborative writing, completing a project or book, etc.): My greatest success would be a sociology paper written during my college years. It was based on an interview with my maternal grandfather.
What do you struggle with in writing and how do you tackle that challenge? Grammar and punctuation. At my stage of life, I no longer concern myself with these issues. I’ve learned to relax and not worry about correctness. I just try to get the messageacross.
What’s your favorite book of all time? Author? I really don’t have one favorite. Perhaps “Dune,” written by Frank Herbert and “The Bible.”
What are you currently reading? Author? “The Crown of Mexico” by Joan Haslip
What’s your favorite guilty reading pleasure, an easy, “beach” read? The Lord of the Rings books
Do you have a favorite word or quotation and who is the author? “You don’t ask, you don’t get.” –Lou Auerback, my father-in-law
