    Spotlight on Reading/Writing: John Sandoval

The TODAY’s Spotlight on Reading/Writing features CSU-Pueblo faculty, staff and students sharing their reading and writing experiences. The column is co-sponsored by the English and Foreign Languages Department and the English Club. This week’s feature highlights first-year adviser John Sandoval.

jsandoval.jpgName, university position, educational background: John Sandoval, first year adviser, bachelor of arts from Adams State College in Alamosa, Colo.

Favorite book of all time: “Green Eggs and Ham” by Dr. Seuss

Favorite quote: “Be nicer to people you meet because everyone you meet is fighting their own battles.”

Your greatest writing success and how you accomplished it: Writing a chapter in the U.S. 101 book and having it published. I wrote a little every day.

Your most challenging writing experience and how you tackled it: Writing a paper for kinesiology about all the motions a pitcher goes through in his wind-up. I paced myself and spent a lot of time on the assignment.

What are you currently reading? “The Five Love Languages of Children”

    (Interviewed by Andrew Johnson.)
