    Spotlight on Reading/Writing: Audra Easley

The TODAY’s Spotlight on Reading/Writing features CSU-Pueblo faculty, staff and students sharing their reading and writing experiences. The column is co-sponsored by the English and Foreign Languages Department and the English Club. This week’s feature highlights history student Audra Easley

Name/department/educational background: Audra Easley, history major, freshman

AEasley2What has been your greatest success in writing? (Personal writing, collaborative writing, completing a project or book, etc.) My greatest success was reading all of the Harry Potter series in one week.

What do you struggle with in writing and how do you tackle that challenge? I struggle with writing long papers. I usually just outline, write, and then come back later and add to it.

What’s your favorite book of all time? Author? “Pride and Prejudice” by Jane Austen.

What are you currently reading? Author? “The Tortilla Curtain” by T.C. Boyle

What’s your favorite guilty reading pleasure, an easy, “beach” read? The Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer

Do you have a favorite word or quotation and who is the author? “Whenever you get the chance, smile, just because you can.” (no author given)

For more information on this feature, contact English Club sponsor and English lecturer Constance Little ([email protected]), 549-2197.
