    Spotlight on Reading/Writing: Fred Stultz

    The TODAY’s Spotlight on Reading/Writing features CSU-Pueblo faculty, staff and students sharing their reading and writing experiences. The column is co-sponsored by the English and Foreign Languages Department and the English Club. This week’s feature highlights the Student Counseling Center’s Fred Stultz.

    What has been your greatest succcess in writing? (Personal writing, collaborative writing, completing a project or book, etc.): My current collaborative work with Barbara Hadley. It’s a book on waking up to one’s life and living it with hope and joy.

    What do you struggle with in writing and how do you tackle that challenge? I often think I’m not smart enough to write something that really is worthwhile. I change my self-talk to get on with the project.

    What’s your favorite book of all time? Author? Wallace Stegner’s Angle of Repose

    What are you currently reading? Author? Eckhart Tolle’s A New Earth (not worth the time) and Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose

    What’s your favorite guilty reading pleasrue? The magazine, The Sun.

    Do you have a favorite word or quotation and who is the author? “There is just one life for each of us: our own.” Euripedes
