Submissions for the first Student Art Show of 2011 are being accepted now until Friday, Jan. 21 in the Fine Arts Gallery located in the Capps Copozzolo Academic Center for the Arts. Robert Babp, a professor with Wichita State University, will judge the submissions and cash prizes will be awarded for various categories.

Students wishing to submit their work are required to pay $3 for three submissions and $5 for each additional submission. All works will be on display from Monday, Jan. 24 to Friday, Feb. 25 in the Fine Arts Gallery. To learn more contact 549-2835.
Also, free banana splits will be offered to students who attend the Student Organization and Senior Fair, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 24 in the Hearthwell Lounge and Great Hall of the Occhiato University Center.
The fair provides the campus an opportunity for departments to promote all they have to offer students. Banana splits are being offered as a way to draw students to the fair. Tables providing information about the various departments and courses offered will be set up for students’ convenience.
Registration deadline is Wednesday, Jan. 19. To register for the fair click on https://orgsync.com/forms/show/26353. To learn more e-mail Ryan Anderson at [email protected] or call 719-549-2151.
