The Bistro at Culebra Hall will be open again for the second consecutive semester, but this time with new hours for students looking to please their appetite.
Currently, the Bistro at Culebra Hall is open from 7 to 9:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 4 p.m. to midnight every day. The café originally opened and closed an hour earlier.
After being unveiled with the opening of three new residence halls, the Bistro at Culebra Hall gives students the opportunity to order items such as Little Caesars Pizza and Solar Roast Coffee. The Bistro also serves a variety of a la carte items.
“We also have a variety of grab and go snacks, sandwiches, frozen items and we will continue to do different things with our turbo chef oven that can cook a variety of things,” said Rich Waters, the director of dining services for Chartwells.
Energy drinks continue to be the top selling item along with the Bistro’s hot prepared items, Waters said. Dining services continues to experiment with the times when the Bistro is most popular, Waters said, but the location of the Bistro has been successful in terms of satisfaction to the students.
Students are still able to make purchases using their ThunderCard, which uses prepaid Flex Points, Waters said. Cash and credit cards are also valid forms of payment at the Bistro.
