CSU Pueblo re-took center stage on March 11, 2025, as the ThunderWolves hosted an NFL Pro Day, giving 10 senior football players a chance to showcase their skills in front of professional scouts.
With scouts from multiple NFL teams in attendance, the event marked another step forward for a program that continues to build its reputation.
The seniors participated in key drills such as the 40-yard dash, bench press and position-specific workouts, hoping to impress scouts and earn opportunities at the next level. Among the standouts was EDGE/Outside Linebacker Makeah Scippio, who posted an impressive 4.58 in the 40-yard dash, drawing attention from evaluators.
Scippio said that “proday was an exciting day that took months of planning, prep and consistent self-evaluation. People will see the numbers and think it was just a good showing. But they do not ever see the sacrifice and prayer it took. It motivates me to keep going forward because it’s another reminder that through applying yourself and faith in God, all things are possible.”
The momentum doesn’t stop here. Looking ahead, CSU Pueblo’s 2025 senior class is stacked with talent, promising an even bigger showcase next year. With standout athletes poised for breakout seasons, the ThunderWolves are primed to continue making noise on the national stage.
As CSU Pueblo’s football program continues to develop elite talent, NFL Pro Day is only going to get bigger and better. The ThunderWolves are proving that they can compete with the best, and the football world is starting to take notice.
Several players at the university have reached the pro level and have had successful careers.
