The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference has announced that CSU-Pueblo junior and number-two singles player, Beau Fresquez, has been selected as the RMAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week.
Fresquez, competing at No. 2 singles for the Thunderwolves, took on a revamped Emporia State lineup last weekend that moved its No. 1 player down to No. 2 in singles action. He won the match 6-2, 6-0.
In doubles action, he and partner Ricardo Oaxaca defeated ESU 9-8. The Thunderwolves’ doubles victory was against ESU’s normal No. 2 doubles tandem.
For the season, Fresquez is excelling, putting up a combined 6-2 record in singles play in action at both the No. 1 slot (1-0) and No. 2 slot (5-2). He and Oaxaca now have a 3-6 mark in doubles play as the team’s number-one tandem.
This marks the first time Fresquez has been honored as the RMAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week.
